After several weekends of unleashing my locs, two weeks of wearing wigs, I took down the last of my locs today! Here's what my hair looks like after the loc down LOL
I've gotta say, I a full of mixed emotions. Part of me is sad because I grew those locs for a few weeks shy of 5 years I must admit that I'm relieved that the loc down process is now over and I'm excited about what I can do with my hair next - braids, twists, twist-out, bantu knots, afro, curls. The sky is the limit for natural Black hairstyles!
People have asked me if I will loc my hair again. I'm sure that I will. I'm just the kind of gal who likes to keep my hair options open.
I am currently treating my hair with a recipe I found online - 1 tablespoon yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 egg yolk and 1 tablespoon oil (I didn't have olive oil or almond oil, so I used a hot oil treatment). Thanks to Motown Girl for the recipe. It is my goal to treat my hair with products that contain the least amount of harmful chemicals as possible (gotta find some henna to color the gray for my next coloring). I used to use a variation of this recipe on my hair when I was a teen (minus the yogurt).

congrats Michelle! I know you are too happy. Cant wait to see your new styles in action! Oh and thanks for the shout out!
